At the start of our first hurricane here in FL I found myself a bit overwhelmed. At first it seemed like fun, a little adventure to break up the monotony of our days. I quickly realized that this is no joking matter, people have died in hurricanes and with Adam being gone I would be all alone with three children... an adventure, yes. We were set to evacuate. Saturday night Adam went to the store and got extra supplies, pulled out emergency stuff from the attic, backed up our hard drive, loaded the guns with ammo, and for the third time went over the shutdown checklist. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing man that works hard to provide for our family. Saturday we enjoyed a day at Big Kahuna water park with our friends, the Baker family. For now, here is what are family is up to:
I am not worthy of these precious children but I am so grateful for His grace and the gift that is Nolan, Georgia and Cameron.
Daddy showing the kids how to hold our new rifle
Her first flower from a boy, her daddy
Georgia is fun loving, smily, goofy little thing. I love how she
points out how good she is when her big brother is being corrected. She
is such a sweet precious baby.
Cameron is a sweet baby with an infectious laugh. He has a movie star
giggle. He has four teeth, soon to be five as he is cutting one on the
bottom now. He still nurses really well and eats EVERYTHING! He is
taking steps on his own with more control everyday so I think it is
official to say we have a walker.
Cameron takes a snooze at the water park
Nolan is a little slow to warm up but once you get him comfortable, he's all in! Nolan loved the slides and all the swimming he got to do.
Nolan is very goofy, serious, meticulous and exact. He will do anything
to make you smile but have his feeling hurt just as fast. I love how
smart he is. He watches everyone and everything. His favorite toys are
legos, puzzles, and dinosaurs.
God bless you all my friends!

I had a hurricane binder when we were there. Info on what to do during/before a storm and then a checklist of what I need to do/pack before leaving. Only had to leave twice in 5 years, but it steamlined the process a lot! Feel free to come visit... ;)
We went through two hurricans when we lived in Florida. Both were relatively mild. That said they were a thing of wonder to behold. Stay safe!
