Happy Halloween

 Buzz Lightyear
 Pink butterfly
 Hallowienies
 Decorated cupcakes from our party
 Sombrero's in the snow party

A few weeks ago Adam and I headed to a sombrero's in the snow party. He of course needed to look like a Mexican gang banger, the sombrero alone just wouldn't cut it. Good times. Above is a favorite of mine and I'm sure Adam as well. Adam loves a campfire. He calls it the caveman's TV. We have a pretty nice TV but at the mere suggestion of a fire outdoors he will click off the power button and choose the smoke filled air and crackle of wood burning any day of the week. He got to share this with Nolan. The sat wrapped up in blankets outside watching, listening and talking with one another for almost 45 minutes. It warms my heart to see their relationship develop. Adam is the perfect mix of loving father and authoritative leadership.

Halloween was a great time here at the Wickes house. I had a few families over and the kids decorated their own cupcakes, we got dressed up and trick-or-treated in the neighborhood then headed back to headquarters for some tomato soup, hallowienies and salad. Nolan is OBSESSED with Buzz Lightyear so Adam made him those very durable wings. Good thing to because not a day has gone by without him wearing and subsequently running into everything with them. He hasn't learned his wing span yet. Georgia is still content with cruising and standing by herself but not walking. She is much more cautious than the boy was. She'll get there. Other than that she has just started jabbering like crazy and actually speaking words! She says: Dadda, Hi, all done (this was a new one as of tonight!), yeah, mama and has in the past said hat and apple. We are still working out details of our move but it looks like it is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better. Hang with us, its going to get bumpy!

Maddie loves Nolan's Buzz costume! Such cute little kiddos. And Tyndall! Don't be nervous...we met there so I know good friendships can be found in the redneck riviera :-) And about the breastfeeding, I understand how you feel. For a while I was wondering if I'd make it as long with Emily as I did with Maddie (13 months) because she took SO LONG to nurse (a full hour). I didn't want to give up for so many reasons but I just couldn't handle being "stuck" so long and find time for Maddie. But, we've got it all sorted out and she's chowing down like a pro!
