So Georgia has progressed to solid food. I wanted to wait until she was 6 months old before starting cereal... close enough! She has been nursing during the day every 2-3 hours and waking up during the night for a 3 am feeding for the past few days. Now thats where I draw the line! She has looked interested in food for a month or so but the increase in her hunger and less frequent poops (an indication that her body is using EVERYTHING she takes in, therefore there is no waste) told me it was time. I'm only a week away so like I said, close enough.
She sat ready and waiting. I did not expect any cereal to actually make it into her belly let alone for her to open her mouth and eat from a spoon but she did. She ate it as if she had been doing it all along. My in laws and I were just shocked. She made a funny face at first but that quickly passed and she was ready for more. I only gave her a tablespoon on her first run but tomorrow she will have breakfast with the rest of us. My baby is growing up! :(
