6 months old and Nolanisms

The only way I can describe Nolan sometimes is simply to say he is unique and special. He has a big love for Jesus and isn't afraid to say it. He likes to imitate the Mass, when disciplined I remind him that he must obey mommy and to that he replies "Nolan obeys Jesus!" he looks wide eyed in wonder and amazement (sort of like the 15 year old girls do when Zach Efron is on TV) whenever he is shown or allowed to touch a crucifix. He is a very holy boy which makes parenting him a little difficult because clearly he is taking orders from a higher power! He is potty training again. I think he is ready now and has started out pretty average. There were 2 accidents today but he has also told me he had to go then "performed". He knows his colors, recognizes and can recite most of his ABCs. I'm very proud of the boy he is and the man he will become. If he is anything like his daddy and I suspect he will be, then he will make some women a wonderful husband. What did the elk say when it crossed the road? We wondered the same thing when we looked up and saw who this elk was running toward. I suppose there is safety in numbers. This was at my in laws place.

These two pictures were just so cute I couldn't pick one. Georgia is 6 months old. I can't believe it but the calendar says its true. She eats her rice cereal and now carrots like a pro. She is in a routine and takes her 3 naps a day (short as they may be) and is always ready for her 8pm bedtime. She has become the most pleasant baby. She always has a smile on her face and had recently started panting when excited. Oh yes, fully equipped with the tongue sticking out and everything. Once blogger gets its act together I will get some videos posted.

For all wondering about Kaiser he is doing well. He has to have a second surgery on his back Saturday afternoon. They discharged him a bit early so that was scary for me because I thought he was totally out of the anesthesia until I got him home and he couldn't walk and when he did it was loopy. He had depressed respirations and just whined the whole night. Giving him meds twice a day, only outside to potty and applying hot packs 3 times a day is a lot of work given the load I already have. To add to it all I got hit hard Sunday at my soccer game and sustained a soft tissue injury to my quad. It's swollen, bruised and tender so walking requires great effort and a great deal of pain tolerance. I can't exactly take much for the pain because I don't have anyone here for back up. Only Motrin for the swelling. Oh well, God never gives you more than you can handle right???
