No, no baby yet. Lots of pressure, contractions and nesting but so far no baby. Nolan has however decided to scale the boundary of his crib walls. This afternoon I put him down at 1pm like I always do. I jumped in the shower, emerged feeling clean and renewed. While I was applying my makeup I heard what I thought sounded like the pitter patter of little feet. No must be the neighbors kid cause mine is snuggled in his crib taking his afternoon nap. Hmmm... I better check the video monitor just to be sure. I went downstairs, clicked it on... why don't I see Nolan in his crib? Better question, why is the back of the recliner moving as if there is someone sitting in it and rocking? Here is what I saw when I opened the door:
There he sat with a lap full of books and a smile. Nice son. Not what I wanted to be doing days before baby gets here is working on a toddler bed transition. When Adam comes home tonight I will have him move the beds and we'll see how this works. If he is just too young I will cage him in with that crib tent I have heard of. My solution was to take the crib mattress out and lay it on the floor. I decided not to make a big deal about it so he wouldn't think of this as a cool new development that he has to get all worked up over. I told him he needed to stay on his bed and put him back on a few times and so far he is laying there half on, half off. I don't know if he's sleeping (it is still nap time) but he isn't running around so thats good... right? Yikes!
