Alaska State Fair

The Wickes family at the Alaska State Fair. The food was so yummy. I don't eat poorly often at all so when the opportunity like the fair emerges I take full advantage. Adam, mom, me, dad and Nolan shared everything so we were able to sample so much more.
It's hard to get a smile out of this kid but he really was excited to be riding the ponies.
Adam riding the train with Nolan.
Nana Luff speeds down the super slide with Nolan. This was his favorite of the two rides he could go on. He went three times!
This is what the baby's room looks like for now. When we know what the sex is I will commence decorating but right now we have all the essentials in there. Those lines I painted turned out to be a real labor of love. I had to go over them 4 times until I was told of the secret to making straight lines (ie paint that doesn't bleed through the tape) called gesso. If you are in need, ask me about it!
Per the previous post Adam moved all the furniture around last night so now Nolan has his dresser and big boy bed. BTW Adam built this bed for him. He is so crafty, never ceases to amaze me at all his talents. This is the boys ending the bedtime routine with stories. His first night in the bed didn't go too bad at all. Adam went in there three times and put him back in his bed and within an hour he was out.
Adam takes Nolan down the BIG slide.

Nolan gets to pet a baby cow. He was more interested in the very active goat.
