Our Texas Visit So Far

This is Ms. Reef and Georgia. Misty met Ms. Reef through her church's outreach program and became friends with her. We all decided to pay her a lunch visit with the kids in tow. Ms. Reef could not have been happier to have us and the kids as she is recently widowed from her beloved of sixty years. She didn't even mind Georgia giving her cute braids a little tug.

Since Misty and I met while working at Hooters our tradition is to visit Hooters whenever we are together so here we are keeping the tradition alive!

This is going backward a bit (notice I had long hair here). The first weekend we were here we all did a race at the rodeo. It was a 4.1 mile run we completed in 37 minutes. I was so proud of us!

Always a favorite park experience for Nolan. He will spend the entire time on the swings.

Little Miss loves her feet. Especially now that we are in a climate that allows for them to be exposed.

We are having a great time here in TX. Yes I cut off most of my hair. I wasn't crazy about it in the beginning though my confidence has grown with Adam's beaming approval and convincing nature. If he thinks I'm beautiful then I must be.

As for Adam, he just returned to Guam from a weekend in Japan. He had great sushi and great travels. He is chugging away at his Master's program and doing the J-O-B in Guam. We are 1/3 of the way through this deployment. We have Skype so that is keeping us all in touch though the day can't come fast enough that I will be able to wrap my arms around my man again and our babies can be with their daddy.
