Home Sweet Home

Thank goodness we are home. Dorothy knew what she was talking about, there is no place like home. Now about those red glittery heels??? Anyway the flight was mostly good with a 10 minute stint of full out screaming at the tops of lungs followed by a 5 minute period of severe tantrum accompanying the screaming. I was embarrassed, angry, sad, confused and worst of all...helpless! I had tried everything and the kid just lost it. I got many acknowledging "yes, we've been there" looks from other parents many who offered snacks, drinks, rubbing his back anything to try and help to the smug "shut that kid up" looks from the never been parents people. I felt like crying, no wailing like he was but instead I decided to laugh a little, shrug my shoulders apologize to everyone on the aircraft and just deal with it by taking a few deep breaths. Not much else you can do huh? A second offer of goldfish ended up doing the trick. And a digiplayer. He liked pushing the buttons. We got home about 730pm I quickly bathed him, did all the nighttime stuff and wouldn't you know it the kid went straight to sleep when he laid in his lovely crib. Not a peep! Like I said, thank God we are home.
