The sun shines again

Nolan and mommy whipping up some fun in the kitchen
12 week prego pic
(I know doesn't look like much right now)
So up until now we have had a bit of a rough ride. The nausea hit me pretty hard around 5 1/2 weeks and came in waves until about 10 weeks and when a wave would hit good gracious! It was morning, noon and night nausea. In the midst of this we got the stomach flu and now Nolan has gotten done fighting off a nasty respiratory infection and head cold. Poor kid has really gotten hit hard with illnesses. I'm starting to dispute the whole breastfed kids are healthier debate.
Adam is flying so much in Guam having an awesome time. He is ready to come home but making the best of the time he has there. I am so happy for him that he has good friends around him right now and that he is making the best of it. 35 more days and my man comes home!!!
As for the pregnancy I had another appointment today and the baby's heart rate is 156 my vitals were great haven't gained any weight yet but fear not...it will come! I did it this way with Nolan too. It seems I have regained most of my energy so now during nap times I read or bake or catch up with friends on the phone. A nice change from face planting into my pillow from exhaustion before I am even sure Nolan is asleep! We are happy and healthy (mostly) and anxiously waiting for Adam to come home. We have a trip to Washington next week to see Grammy, Grandpa, Uncle Keith and (soon-to-be) Aunt Nessy. We are looking forward to this trip. Nolan hasn't seen Grandpa Wickes since November and even longer the Keith and Vanessa (8 months!). Hope this finds all my friends well. I miss you all and wish we could be closer.

I still see a very small little pooch! I don't remember when you said you leave for Washington.. It will be nice to kinda get away for a bit. I hope you are feeling ok, you sounded like you had some of the same symptoms I am having... I miss you too.
