8 months and more

Here she is, 8 months old and the first time she has sat on grass You got to love living in Alaska! Georgia is such an incredible kid. They both are but she has a special place in my heart. Maybe because the beginning was rocky and I loved her all the way though it and now she is an absolute dream. Happy all the time and cries very little. She always has a smile on her face. She has recently started wrinkling her nose and squinting her eyes when she smiles. Too cute. She sleeps well, and will eat anything I put in her mouth. Be it not a whole lot but she is always willing to try a new food. Still the only person who can really make her laugh is her big brother. I am envious of their relationship even this early on. Nolan has shown such deep love for her, a love I hope will endure throughout their lifetime.

Nolan and Georgia enjoy some naked pool time while we were visiting our extended family out in California. We had a such a blast out there. How can you not when the Werners are around?

Nolan likes to say "daddy is flying Georgia high in the sky!"

Nolan enjoys a peach grown on the tree out back of the Werner's house. The sweetest and best peaches I have had to date.

Nolan loves skateboards. On this morning I put his helmet away (otherwise he would wear it day and night) so he thought he would improvise. The kid is smart and has imagination. He has always been more like Adam and exudes that same coolness. He has also inherited the Mr. Perfect gene needing to have things done right... no, perfect. When they aren't, he loses his marbles. Adam has never lost his marbles as his cortex is fully developed so he is able to exhibit a great deal of self control. Nolan is still learning this but what 2 year old isn't? Potty training, what a champ. He pees all the time in his potty. He says he needs to go and will wait a short time if a potty trip just isn't in the cards (ie going 65 down the highway). He still prefers to poop in a pull-up when its nap time but has gone willingly in the potty a few times. I need to up the ante on rewards with poop, make it more appealing. As if NOT having it on your skin isn't reward enough. It would be for me! He is my special little man and I adore him immensely. Even if he still prefers daddy.

Ah, Disneyland! We had such a good time there and the kids were troopers throughout the all day trip. They got to go on many rides; Roger Rabbit, Pirates of the Carribean (Nolan's fav), Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, The carousal, and Nolan's first roller coaster. I have an incredible family!

First, Georgia's eyes are so bright and clear...awesome! Second, LOVE Nolan's haircut. Isn't a little buzz cut a right of passage for little boys in the summer??? :-)
