My BP: 131/76
Wt gain: 9lbs
Baby's HR: 156
Our critter is active at fairly regular intervals. I can count on him/her being awake around 8am, 1pm, then again at 8pm. The baby fidgets a bunch but not a whole lot of limb extension yet. He/she still has lots of room to move around. A couple of times I have felt some good punches or kicks and I yell out "whoa!" because it catches me by surprise. We love this little baby so much already.
Mother's Day was better than the last one. I still did all the cooking and cleaning. I will have to work on Adam with that. We had friends and family over and enjoyed a nice brunch while the kids played. Nolan gave me a book by Dr. Laura Schlessinger (my favorite person) called In Praise of Stay-at-home Moms and Adam gave me some resistance bands to go with my turbo kick DVD he got me for Christmas. I know you ladies might be thinking "man, he must be telling her something" no, no, no he just knows how much I enjoy staying active and fit so he wants to make it easy on me. He's a good man that always buys me the perfect gifts. Last Christmas I got a jump rope and I was ecstatic!
Tuesday was Nolan's new word day. Adam and I thought he must of sat in his crib the night before and studied because come daylight he and I were outside and flying overhead were some birds chirping happily at the spring time weather and he looks up, points and proclaims "birds". I was surprised. He had never said that word before. I had said it many times but not even on that day. Later in the afternoon I was changing his diaper and he reached out to me. I though he wanted to poke my nose and instead he grabs my cross necklace I always wear and he always played with as a baby when he would nurse and said "pretty". Bless his heart. Later that evening while Adam and I were in the garage moving stuff around Nolan found his snow boots and as if he had always saw them he said "boots". Crazy how they learn so passively. I have learned not to press things with him. He is learning everyday and in time he will reveal just how much he already knows. I never take his intelligence for granted because I think those wheels are always spinning. Among those words are "cat, shoes, truck, please, mama, dada, cup, uh-oh, boom, touch, fish, hi, paw".
Adam is back in action full speed ahead at the squadron. He has busted the door down on 2 FLUG, they have OREs, ORIs and a few other war games they will be playing this summer as well as our own plate being full with SOS in June (booo...Nolan and I will have to stay behind) family vacation in July and a new baby coming in September. Hang on, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
