Mother's Day 2008

My first Mother's Day...well it left much to be desired. I worked that day at The Children's Clinic where I am a very part-time nurse. Nolan had not been feeling well that whole weekend so he was seen by one of our doctors that afternoon. She didn't see any reason to be concerned so we went home. I went to evening Mass alone while Adam and his mother stayed home to prepare for Mother's Day dinner. There was much more to be done than anticipated because when I got home we were still very behind and company was expected any minute. We pulled it all together finally, just a little later then originally planned. We gave a toast to the mothers at the table (Nobody gave me a toast :( and proceeded with dinner. In fact, there isn't even a picture of me with my own son on mother's day. Maybe next year will be better. On a positive note, I did receive some beautiful Tulips from Adam with some really nice words and a book.
